The AUTOMATIC DRAWINGS are pen and ink drawings that bypass methods of conscious control. These are made without looking at the paper, or attempting to make any known sign or image. The marks then become a record of something that remains unobstructed by the conscious mind. These are not works of imagination because they are not made-up by me. They are records of an action and a process.
